circa 1874, with 8in octagonal blued sighted barrel marked with the patent date and signed 'E REMINGTON AND SONS. ILION NEW YORK USA' over 'NEW-MODEL', blued cylinder and frame, colour-hardened hammer, brass trigger-guard, smooth walnut grips, the whole remaining in a fine state of preservation with the majority of its original blued finish
